Message from Mr. Taverna

Dear APS staff, families, and the Andover community,

I would like to express my gratitude for your support during my tenure as interim superintendent. As I shared during my conversations with the community, Andover is truly a special place, and I am honored and excited to lead the district as permanent superintendent.

I believe that no leader works alone. The success of APS students depends on a strong partnership among administrators, educators, and families. Together, we must ensure that our students learn in an environment that fosters engagement and lifelong learning.

Thank you for your continued confidence in APS.

Keith Taverna

Superintendent's Advisory Council

The purpose of the Superintendent's Advisory Council is to share meaningful conversations, receive candid feedback, and solicit the council’s insights and ideas as liaisons for the Andover community.

Superintendent & Student Advisory Council

The first Superintendent and Student Advisory Council launched in the 2025–26 school year, with twenty-six Andover High School students meeting regularly with the superintendent. The primary purpose is to empower high school students with insights into the workings of the school district. The SSAC offers students a platform to contribute their perspectives on a range of district initiatives and actively participate in a council to provide the superintendent with non-binding consultation.

Budget Advisory Council

The purpose of the Budget Advisory Council is to facilitate productive conversations and to identify community priorities in developing a balanced budget with transparency and in partnership with key stakeholders.

Redistricting Advisory Council

The Redistricting Advisory Council consists of APS staff members and APS parents/guardians. The role of the ad-hoc advisory council is to provide non-binding consultation to the superintendent and her administrative team during the APS redistricting process and implementation.
