| | Dear Families & CaregiversVolWe are excited to share that we have officially launched Module 1 of Arts and Letters, and our students and teachers are off to a wonderful start. Across all grade levels, children are diving into rich reading, thoughtful discussions, and meaningful writing. In kindergarten, students are exploring the five senses, guided by the essential question: “How do people use their senses to experience the world?” At the other end of the elementary journey, our fifth graders are engaging with the unit “Handed Down,” where they are considering the question: “How do communities sustain their cultures?” In between, there is equally exciting work happening every day: -
Grade 1 – “The World of Books” -
Grade 2 – “A Season of Change” -
Grade 3 – “The Sea” -
Grade 4 – “A Great Heart” We encourage you to ask your child about what they are reading and learning—it’s a great way to support their curiosity and growth while celebrating the powerful work happening in every classroom. Warmly, Dr. C | | Volunteering at West Elementary Also, as a reminder, CORI Forms need to be filled out every school year to volunteer and participate in school activities, such as chaperoning a field trip. If you would like to fill it out at home before coming over, here is the link to print the form: CORI FORM | | Traffic Delays - Expect Delays Lowell Street will be closed in the area around 277 Lowell Street from Monday, September 15 through Friday, September 19, 2025, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, to allow for the replacement of a drainage culvert as part of the Lowell Street Water Main Project.
