Dear Shawsheen Preschool staff and families, 

I am excited to share that Ms. Amy B. Sullivan will join the Shawsheen Preschool community as principal beginning July 2026. 

Ms. Sullivan brings more than 30 years’ of experience in education, including 25 years as an elementary and early childhood principal in Massachusetts. Throughout her career, she has been committed to creating inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning environments where young children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. She has extensive experience leading integrated preschool programs, strengthening early literacy and social-emotional learning, and building strong partnerships with families as they begin their child's educational journey.

Most recently, Ms. Sullivan served as Education Director at Solstice Day School in Rowley, Massachusetts, where she oversaw all aspects of special education programming, including IEP development, compliance, eligibility, and collaboration with multiple school districts across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Previously, she spent more than 12 years leading PreK–2 schools, including overseeing integrated preschool programs in settings similar to Shawsheen Preschool. Her leadership has consistently focused on fostering inclusive practices, supporting diverse learners, and ensuring every child has access to high-quality early learning experiences.

Ms. Sullivan will begin her role as the Shawsheen Principal in mid-July and looks forward to meeting students, families, staff, and members of the broader Andover community. She is excited to build strong relationships, learn from the school community, and partner with families and educators to support young learners during these important first years of their educational journey.
