Dear Shawsheen Preschool staff and families,
It is my pleasure to share that Kara Saranich will join the Shawsheen Preschool community as principal beginning January 2026.
Ms. Saranich joined Andover Public Schools earlier this year, serving as an Educational Team Facilitator (ETF) at West and Doherty Middle schools. Kara has over 20 years’ experience in public education, with a demonstrated commitment to early childhood education. Her previous roles include ten years as an early Childhood and Elementary Principal, experience as a classroom teacher and in special education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
I would like to thank the Shawsheen Principal search committee for their insight, knowledge, and commitment to identifying Ms. Saranich as the best possible candidate to lead Shawsheen Preschool in the coming years.
Kara is looking forward to working with the families, students and staff members at Shawsheen Preschool. I hope you will join me in welcoming Ms. Saranich to Shawsheen Preschool.
