On October 19, the team from West Middle School delivered a standout performance to claim the championship in the Soccer for Sarah tournament. Their drive, teamwork, and commitment throughout the tournament paid off spectacularly, earning them the win in a field packed with strong competition.
Big congratulations to the players, coaches, and everyone who supported them!
Andover Public Schools has embraced Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for a number of years now, acknowledging that core student skills related to setting personal goals, managing emotions, building relationships, and socialization are important for academic success and personal well-being. In addition, it is important for students to understand their personal needs, including potential support for challenges related to mental health, such as anxiety and depression. While some degree of anxiety and stress is typical, expectable, and developmentally appropriate, some individuals struggle with social and emotional challenges that are outside the norm.

We love any opportunity for festive fun with our students. We strongly encourage costumes (and we'll be wearing them, too)!
Please make sure your student's costume follows our guidelines:
Content and coverage – We ask the costume to please be appropriate in nature for school
No masks – We need to be able to see each student’s face. Face paint and colored hair spray are fine, just please apply them at home.
No props– For example, a hat and glasses for a Where’s Waldo? costume is fine…However, please leave hockey sticks, wands, canes, and anything not worn at home.
No Inflatable Costumes – Unless they leave your head fully exposed
On Tuesday Oct. 28th at 3:00pm, the Andover High School will host a “Fun Run Cross Country Race” between all three Andover Middle Schools. If your child is interested in running in the race please follow the link below to sign up. West Middle School has been victorious the past two years and would like to continue the streak. The more runners we have the better chance we have for success.
If you have any questions please reach out to Mr. Deschene or Mrs. Rurak. We look forward to seeing all of our runners on the course.
Join us at Andover High School for an informative evening designed to give prospective students and their families an in-depth look at AHS programs, extracurricular activities, and overall student life. Start the night at our Clubs, Activities, Athletics, and Fine Arts Fair, where you’ll meet current AHS students and explore the wide range of opportunities available. Then, gather in the Collins Center for a presentation from AHS administrators and students, who will share insights into the academic and community experiences that make AHS such a vibrant place to learn and grow.
