On behalf of Superintendent Berman and the faculty of Andover Public Schools, we would like to thank you for the contribution each of you made in ensuring the success of the 2018-2019 school year. Your service and dedication is greatly appreciated.

We would like to take this opportunity to assure you that the school department will be employing substitute teachers next year, and we invite you to remain on our substitute roster. As is customary, you will be employed on an on-call basis.

If you are interested in continuing as a substitute teacher, we ask that you complete the information below no later than August 1, 2019.

Please be aware that if you do not complete the information below we will assume that you no longer wish to be a Substitute Teacher with Andover Public Schools. Therefore, your name will not appear on the roster for the 2019-2020 school year and your PTS funds which you have been contributing to while employed by Andover Public Schools will be refunded to you. You can expect to receive this refund approximately 4 weeks after we receive your notification.

Please note, it is your responsibility to set up all your day and school preferences through the Absence Management/AESOP website.


It is the policy of the Andover Public Schools that all per diem substitute positions are FULL DAY assignments. Regardless of the hours worked by the person you are subbing for, it is still expected that you will report to work at the beginning of the school day and work till the end. If you are at the school before or after the hours of the assignment indicated in Absence Management/Aesop, report to the front office and they will assign you elsewhere during your available time.
If you are unavailable for the entire school day, do not accept an assignment.
