[ARCHIVED] Middle School Cross Country Race

The Physical Education Department, with the assistance of the Andover High School cross-country teams, is sponsoring a Cross Country Race for the three public middle schools in town. The event is planned to promote school spirit and friendly competition among our schools. It is also designed for the promotion of cardiovascular fitness, the enjoyment of running and the development of sportsmanship. The event is open to all students in the Doherty, West and Wood Hill Middle Schools. There will be separate boys' and girls' races, each a little over one mile in length, following the main parts of the high school cross country course on the campus of Andover High School. Team (school) scores will be kept. Students will receive their individual times at a later date. The boys and girls scores will be combined, and the winning school will be awarded “the Warrior Cup”. To properly identify which school you attend and are competing for you must wear the appropriate color shirt. Doherty students are to wear white shirts, West students must wear gold/yellow shirts and Wood Hill students are to wear green shirts.
