On Wednesday, September 8th, during Block 1, all Andover High School students will write an essay during their first block class.

There are two purposes for this assignment.
• Students will show evidence of their participation in the summer reading project.
• Students will provide a writing sample to their English teachers.

The accompanying notes assignment will be collected on that day, along with the in-class essay. Students who are not able to complete the summer assignment will provide a writing sample by answering a general essay question.
