High Plain Elementary Principal Selected as Massachusetts Principal of the Year
Principal Pamela Lathrop honored by Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association
May 3, 2023, Andover, Mass. – Andover Public Schools is pleased to announce that High Plain Elementary Principal Pamela Lathrop has been selected as the Massachusetts School Administrators’ Association (MSAA) as Principal of the Year.
This program annually recognizes school principals who demonstrate exemplary skills in instructional leadership, supporting a safe learning environment and fostering a collaborative culture of shared decision making among all members of their school community. Following a review by the MSAA selection committee, Ms. Lathrop emerged as the winner based on her efforts in support of the students and staff at High Plain Elementary.

ortunate to have worked alongside some truly talented people. We have always been stronger together committed to the success for our students.”
“Ms. Lathrop is a compassionate and reflective leader who consistently examines the needs of her staff and students at HPE,” notes Dr. Magda Parvey, superintendent at Andover Public Schools. “Ms. Lathrop is a hands-on leader who is well-respected by her faculty for her responsiveness, compassion, collaboration, and dependability. We are so proud of her accomplishments; this recognition is well-deserved.”

Throughout her tenure in the district, Ms. Lathrop has been a strong and steadfast leader for her students and staff.”
A veteran educator, Ms. Lathrop will finish her 14th year in the district this June.
