This Spirit Committee members plan and implement fun and engaging activities to promote South School spirit. These students will oversee such activities as Spirit Days, Float Parade, Fall Scarecrow building that are displayed in downtown Andover, and others.
The Spirit Committee meets on Wednesdays from 8:15am - 8:45am - 11/2, 12/7, 1/4, 2/1, 3/1, 4/5, 5/3, and 6/14 in the Library.
Faculty advisors: Ms. O'Keefe, Ms. Lowell, Mrs. Ludvino, Mrs. Maguire, and Ms. Pappalardo.
The Float Parade:
The annual Float Parade will be held in the spring. Float builders should carefully read the following information:
The parade is open to all students from grades K-5.
Floats should have a theme and should be no larger than 5 feet long and 3 feet wide.
Floats may not have live pets, live babies, food or loud music.
Register your float (only one registration form per float).
Be sure to list the names of everyone in your group on the registration form. (and classroom numbers) and PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY!!!!!
Floats may be brought to school between 4 and 6 pm only on the Thursday before the parade OR after 8:15 am on the morning of the parade.
All floats must be removed from the school before the end of the day on Friday.
