Andover spending (dark blue line) on educating students with disabilities out of district (OOD) tends to be low and has declined as a proportion of the overall SPED budget over the past ten years (2008-2017; r2=.7564). Other districts have also had a decline in the proportion of SPED spending OOD. Only Westwood (*) spent significantly less OOD as a proportion of their total SPED budget relative to Andover (2008-2017), while five districts (+) spent significantly more as a proportion of the overall SPED budget than Andover (p<=.01). In 2017 only Westwood and Winchester spent less on out of district spending as a proportion of the overall SPED budget.
