Grade 8

Both 8^th Grade Teams

Supply lists will be reviewed during the first week of school.  Here are things you will need for your eighth grade year:

R 3-ring loose-leaf binder: your choice

      - 1 large binder with dividers for all subjects   or

     - 2 binders; 2 subjects each, or

     - 4 single-subject (1 inch) binders, color coded for each class (blue, yellow, green, red)

R Math Supplies  

    - see through plastic ruler marked in inches and centimeters

    - scientific calculator labeled with first and last name   (make sure calculator does order of operations: the  answer to

            2+5x3 should be 17).

    - protractor (to be kept at home)

R English Supplies         

    - 1 single-subject college-ruled notebooks with pockets

R General Supplies        

    - book socks-jumbo/large and 1 small

    - pencil case

    - pencils and erasers

    - blue, black, and red pens

    - highlighters

    - colored pencils and markers

    - colored 2-pocket folders (we suggest, blue, yellow, green, red)

    - PC disk or Jump Drive to save your work

    - glue stick

    - scotch tape

    - 1 or 2 fine point dry erase markers

    - scissors

    - 2 boxes of tissues to donate for classroom use

R A sense of humor and willingness to work!

Finally, your backpack must fit in your locker which has a nine inch door.  The locker interior measures 12 inches wide by 10.5 inches deep. Backpacks with wheels don’t usually fit in your locker – but plastic shelves can be a big help provided they are the correct size.
