Attention South School Parents who drop
off and/or pick up students:
Thank you for your cooperation with parking procedures. By following the
guidelines for parking, you are helping to keep our school a safe place. Some
parents indicated to me that they were not aware of certain procedures for drop
off. To clarify, parents who drop off and/or pick up their children should do so
only in the larger driveway area (parent pick up loop). The other driveway is
for buses and staff members only. Please be sure to pull over as close to the
right curbside (fire lane side) as possible. Students should not be dropped off
or picked up in the middle of the driveway, as other vehicles may be passing
through. Parking on the fire lane is prohibited. There are several spaces on the
left side of the driveway for parking, if you should have a morning parent
conference. Otherwise, we ask that students show independence by walking into
school on their own. Staff members begin supervision at 8:15a.m.
