Andover SEPAC sponsors various workshops throughout the school year on topics of interest to families of children with special needs. The Andover SEPAC brochure contains contact information and a membership form. Consider joining Andover SEPAC to receive their newsletter and become more involved.
Parent Information and Networking Group for Andover Schools
This group is open to all parents of children with special needs in the Andover Schools (including pre-school) and is facilitated by Janet Yedinak. Meetings typically occur one Monday each month throughout the school year. In addition to providing an opportunity to get ideas for dealing with your individual issues or concerns, there is usually a specific topic for each meeting, often with an expert in the field to speak and answer questions. Please see the invitation for more information and contact Janet at 978-623-8900 ext.4117 or jyedinak@aps1.net to get on her distribution list for coming meetings and announcements for various workshops available to parents.
Recommended Reading
There are resources at the Shawsheen Library available to parents on various topics relating to children with special needs, including some fiction selections that may be inspiring or even provide some ideas for helping your own children. Please see a list of some of the books you will find there.
