Andover Public Schools Nursing department will be collaborating again this year with the Andover Health Department to provide flu vaccine to students who are currently enrolled in our schools.
You may have heard that flu mist is not available this year, and as a result we will be offering only injectable vaccine to middle and high school students.
Because nasal vaccine (flu mist) will NOT be offered for this flu season – we are unable to offer vaccine in the elementary schools this year.
Please refer to www.andoverma.gov\health for information about the town-wide clinic for Andover residents.
If you would like your child to receive the injectable vaccine please
go to the nursing page on the Andover public school website to
review the VIS (Vaccine Information Sheet) and
Print the consent/insurance form,
Complete and sign the form and submit the form to the school nurse by the deadline (see dates below)
You are not required to submit payment for the vaccine. The Town of Andover will bill your insurance company directly. Lack of medical coverage will not prevent your child from receiving the vaccine.
If your child is unable to attend the flu clinic on the date that has been assigned for his/her school, the Town of Andover will be offering a flu clinic on Tuesday November 15th for all Andover residents aged 3 and above.
No mist will be offered this year.
