Recently many freshmen competed in a bridge building contest for geometry. They had to build a bridge out of toothpicks that could support weight while between two desks. Check out the amazing photos from this event! Geometry’s Sketchpad SoftwareA student edition of the Geometer’s Sketchpad software is available for purchase at a cost of $45. This software is used extensively in the course and would be an excellent resource for your child at home. If you choose to purchase the software, please send a check made out to TOWN OF ANDOVER for $45. You must include a note with your name and phone number, the name of the student and the type of computer that you have (Windows, Mac or Mac). You may either mail the request or have it brought to room 340 to Donna Pappalardo the Mathematics Program Advisor. Buying this software is completely optional. |
