Accessing APS Email from Home

 

or Away from Your School PC

 

For people who need to access their APS email from home:

For Macintosh users in the school system:

For anyone who needs to access their email from a computer not setup for them:

 

The APS Exchange server supports Outlook Web Access which can be accessed over the Internet. Outlook Web Access allows you to access your Contacts, Calendar, and all your Outlook folders. To connect to the APS Outlook Web Access follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open Internet Explorer on any computer.
  2. In the address bar, type http://mail.aps1.net:909
  3. In the “Enter Network Password” box, enter your username, password

 and domain “APS”.

 

 

Note:  You must use APS\username in the ‘User name’ box if you are outside the school system and there is no box to type in your domain “APS”.

 

Outlook Web Access will open allowing access to all your Outlook folders.

Macintosh Preference Settings

 

Note for Macintosh users in the school system:

You will need to change the preferences in Internet Explorer.

  1. Open Internet Explorer and click on Preferences
  2. Scroll down and click on Proxies
  3. In the box titled “List the sites you want to connect to directly…”, enter the following addresses exactly as shown below:

www.aps1.net, mail.aps1.net

  1. Click OK to save the changes
  2. Proceed as shown above to access APS Outlook Web Access.
