All vacant positions in both the Town and School departments are always posted on our website. Applications must be submitted electronically on-line. Application requirements such as cover letters, resumes, transcripts, letters of reference, licenses, driving records, etc. are specific to individual positions. We also hire seasonal positions to work with children and young adults in the Andover Youth Services programs and the year round programs sponsored by the Recreational Division of the Department of Community Services Department. 


Information about the Hiring Process:



Town positions: Applicants for municipal positions will be screened by a preliminary screening committee. If selected for an interview, applicants should expect a group interview experience. Finalists for most positions can expect that they will be asked to participate in an assessment center which is designed to highlight skills essential to the successful implementation of job responsibilities.

School department positions: Applicants for teaching positions are also screened by a preliminary screening committee and can anticipate a group interview. Finalists for teaching positions are often asked to visit a classroom to teach a lesson. 
 
School department employees and select town employees will be asked to fill out a Criminal Records History Check (CORI form) as well as a SAFIS (Fingerprinting Form)
