Remote learning means learning provided by the school district that happens outside of the traditional classroom because the student and teacher are separated by distance. Remote learning may be synchronous or asynchronous.
The district recently contracted with a new learning management system, Schoology. We know our faculty, families and students are looking for a clear, consistent digital platform.
Students can access all of their instructional tools with ease inside their Schoology account and separate logins will no longer be needed. Schoology allows our educator to build classes, content and courses within a common visual window, and integrates our core web tools such as Google Classroom, Google Drive, Google Site, SeeSaw, FlipGrid, Epic and any other instructional web tools we wish our students to have.
The district submitted the APS Feasibility Study with all three components for review to DESE on July 31st. No final decision has been determined.
